Celts of America Standards of
Ethical Conduct
Ethical
conduct is one of the few demands we place on our membership. Ethics, and
following the policies, and regulations which apply to Celts of America
is the responsibility of each member regardless of their status within
the organization. Each of us must be aware of the legal and ethical
standards which apply us. This program strives to foster and help
ensure ethical conduct and provide guidance to all members.
Celts of America is a non-political,
non-religious organization, open to all people regardless of age,
sex, or race. We are organized towards, and committed to providing
our members the very best of cultural experience we possibly can. Our mission
is the promotion and preservation of Celtic culture and heritage within
both the United States and Canada.
As a Celts of America member you
must:

Support, respect, and abide
by the appropriate local, state, provincial, and federal laws.

Be honest in all professional
relationships involving COA.

Never bring COA into disrepute.

Take appropriate action in regards
to any illegal or unethical practices that come to your attention. However,
do not bring charges against any person unless you have reasonable basis
for believing in the truth of the allegations, and without any regard to
personal interest.

Endeavor to promote Celts of
America and share the Celts of America message with the public.

Not act in way that a conflict
of interest, no mater if real or perceived, exists between one's self and
Celts of America.

A Member my never use COA property
or the member’s position, office or position in COA to pursue personal
interests.

Not use political influence
to gain any sort of favor for themselves within COA.

If engaging in political activities,
COA members must be able to retain the perception of impartiality in relation
to their duties and responsibilities.

Members must not engage in political
activities during any Celts of America function.

Not use or take credit for the
work of others without specific acknowledgment and authorization.

Not take advantage of the lack
of knowledge or inexperience on the part of others for personal gain.

Above all, Celts of America
members will always foster the beliefs of good will to others, helping
where help is needed, and giving without expectation of receiving.
