To all in the Scottish community,
Friends of Kirk,
The plan at this time is for Kirk to be taking
one of his first off-site visit without being escorted by hospital personnel
on St. Patrick's Day. We are planning on having Kirk at the Auld Dubliner
Irish Pub (South Broadway & Amherst - 2700 south) at around 2:00 PM
Saturday until ????? I would not expect Kirk to be stay around for hours,
so ............. The pub is only 1.5 miles from Craig Hospital so the transportation
should be fairly easy. I think he'll be in his manual chair (no motor except
his arms).
Don't forget your kilts.
I know Kirk would love to see you there to help
him celebrate this special Celtic day with his friends.
The Auld Dubliner Irish Pub is not very big,
but they will have tents in the parking lot to expand for the day.
Mollie will of course be in town and Mark Renken
will also be here then (and for the next week).
Hope to see you Saturday. If anything changes,
I'll let you know.
Mollie has created a site for Kirk on the Craig Hospital CarePages www.carepages.com You'll have to sign up, create your own user name and password and then you can visit the care page for Kirk at "KirkSpell".
The fundraiser for the Spell family is going strong.
Keep the donations coming. The family has received their first few checks
from the fund - the money is turned over quickly. The url is http://celtsofamerica.org/ks.html
