for Either Corporate, or Auxiliary Chapter standing with COA is a great
way to give your club or association, addition benefits, that your organization
may not otherwise have.
Auxiliary Chapter Status. Any local, or regional group of ten (10) or more people may petition the Board of Directors for Auxiliary chapter status. Upon approval, The Board of Directors may extend to them such benefits and rights as approved by the Board of Directors of the Corporation as a local Auxiliary Chapter. Individuals of an Auxiliary Chapter may not hold office in the Corporation or its Corporate chapters nor participate in Corporation or chapter elections. Auxiliary chapters may use at will the Celts of America name, emblem, and local identification number for advertising and promotion purposes only, but in no other capacity. Auxiliary chapters will maintain their own organization name, and Corporate and legal status. Auxiliary chapters will make annual chapter payment to COA in accordance with the schedule set forth by the Board of Directors (SEE BELOW). Incorporated Chapter. Members of the Corporation in a state or in a particular locality (in Canada), who wish to work together in furthering the aims of COA, may petition the COA Board if Directors for formal recognition of their voluntary association as a Corporation Chapter. Upon Board recognition, members of a chapter shall elect a Chapter President and may create such other offices and rules of self governance as they deem necessary, so long as these are not contrary to the By-laws or to the purposes of the COA Corporation. Each Corporate chapter pays an annual annuity set forth by the COA Board of Directors. With the approval of the COA Board of directors, a chapter may assess dues of its members and conduct fund raisers, collection of which shall be the sole responsibility of the chapter. Each Chapter organization will receive it's own local chapter number and be able to use the Celts of America name and logo, as a corporate Chapter. Benefits for both Auxiliary and
Corporate Chapters. In addition to full COA members rights and
privileges to the Celts of America web site and shopping, only by achieving
Chapter standing can you apply for any of the COA grant programs.
In addition, chapters can use any of the material found on the COA website
for presentations, public display, and education. Chapters throughout the
Americas receive hundreds of promotional items they can use during fund
raisers, local events and advertising. Your organization will receive
it's own local chapter number , allowing you to display the COA eagle and
shield at any of your events or meetings. However, Your club or organization
will not in any way loose any of it's personal identity. COA does
not and will not in anyway govern any organizations daily operations, other
than meeting our bylaw requirements, and our simple standard
operating policies.
How to apply for Celts of America
Chapter standings:
a. The group or organization must be designed towards being not-for-profit, non-political, non religious organization, open to all people regardless of age, sex, or race. b. The organization must be involved with the preservation, and promotion of Celtic culture and heritage, and may not be organized towards violence of any sort. c. The organization must having a
fitting name, that in non inflammatory to the public.
e. The organization must petition the COA Board of Directors and be approved for inclusion as a Celts of America Chapter. 2. Auxiliary Chapter Cost Schedule.
There is no application fee. However, once approved, chapter dues
are due within 30 days as follows:
